Sticky Bun Danish & Almond Croissant - The top is slightly burned since I heated them in the toaster too long
House of Bagel's is a bakery chain that offers a wide range of baked goods. They are known for their Cragel's, croissant-bagels.
My favorite bakery goods that they offer are the Sticky Bun Danish, Almond Croissant, Nutella Cragel, Mini Bagels, Apricot Rugelach, and the Morning Bun.
The Sticky Bun Danish is a Danish pastry, similar to puff pastry, rolled like a cinnamon roll. It is glazed in a sticky caramely sauce and topped with walnuts. The pastry is crispy and flakey and the glaze is sweet. The walnuts add a hint of bitterness and crunch.
The Almond Croissant is a croissant filled with frangipane, an almond paste. It is topped with slivered almonds and powdered sugar. The frangipane bursts with sweet almond flavor and has a slight texture from the almonds. The croissant is flakey and light. The size of the Almond Croissant is phenomenal.
The Nutella Cragel is a Cragel layered with streaks of Nutella. The Cragel is flakey, but also has the texture of a true bagel. The Nutella adds a hint of nuttiness and sweetness.
The Mini Bagels are small bagels that come in a variety of flavors, like sesame. Each bagel is chewy and pairs well with whatever flavor you get.
The Apricot Rugelach is a rolled flakey pastry filled with apricot jam. The pastry is light and crisp, and this compliments the apricot jam perfectly.
The Morning Bun is a bread rolled like a cinnamon roll that's coated in sugar. The bread is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The sugar adds texture and sweetness.
Tip - Heat your baked good(s) in a toaster oven for a couple of minutes. They taste better warm.
House of Bagels has some of the best baked goods I have ever tried. Each item on the menu is unique from the other and absolutely perfect.
