Banana Waffles

Banana Waffles w/ Peaches & Whipped Cream

Waffles are my favorite breakfast food. Maybe it's the grooves that can hold whipped cream and maple syrup, but they feel superior to pancakes.

These waffles are fluffy, crisp, and they go with pretty much anything, even fried chicken. The waffle maker I used was the Dash Mini, Waffle Maker.

Recipe

Makes 14 waffles

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour

  • 3 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 egg

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed

Directions

1. Preheat waffle maker.

2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.

3. Stir in milk, banana, and eggs until the mixture is smooth.

4. Spray preheated waffle maker with non-stick cooking spray.

5. Pour enough waffle batter into the waffle maker to cover the bottom.

6. Cook until golden brown & serve.

Banana Waffles will keep in the refrigerator for up to five days.
